we can look at the start of the end of the world ---------
Lauren sat at her table, absently playing with the tips of her hair as her fellow dormies chatted animately amoungst themselves. She hadn't grabbed lunch yet, trying to figure out what she should get. The food was better than that at any other school, but if you choose the wrong out of the two, then it always tasted terrible. She scanned her surroundings, though her vision didn't pick up much of what she saw. Vampires, werewolves, faeries, elves, mages, thin and weak humans, and more. There was never and endless cease to how interesting this whole school was.
No, what she was looking for was a singled-out person. Someone who didn't fit in with the others. Something interesting. The humans always stuck in a closly knit group. They may be insane, but when it came all to all they knew that it'd be harder for them to survive without the comfort. Lauren entertained the thought of the humans, trying to place the reason why they wouldn't just pair up with the mages. She concluded that they didn't band together because the mages needed more rep. Not only were those kids mortal, but they weren't the brightest either. Well... Maybe take out Nolan and the other tricksters.
She didn't spot any elves, though there might be a few in here. The weather could be down pouring rain, and you could still find them outside. The nekos and anthros looked completely at peace, but it's hard to mess with a groups' mind. It'd be so much easier to find someone alone. This was a normal day, other than the fact that a few of the mages, most likely led by Knight, were using a few spells to make the food fly around the room and crash into the walls, and whatnot. They're the best to be around for a food fight. But, Nolan and her were buddies. She wasn't going to ruin her own fun by trying to war against him. She glanced at another table and gave a small smile. Target acquired.
She wasn't very tall, faerie obviously by the skin color. She loved how easy it was to depict some of them. Other's were done near impossible. She contemplated on everybody's location, and rocked back in her chair, propping her feet up on the table. She knew what was going to come next. The rest of her dorm mates bombarding her with questions about her plan, that mysterious glint in her eyes. She smirked, and stood.
"I'm going to go get some food," She said quickly, walking with a sure grace towards the line for the partions. As she walked, she went through what she would do. Would it be enough to just sit down next to her, act all friendly. Demons and faeries were always on edge, at least that's what Lauren thought. With them being so small, and able to fit in the smallest of places, they were hard to catch. She noted the girl's surroundings. Who was nearby? If the werewolves were, she had managed to get some matches, and could probably start a small stampede.
One never knew what you had to do to frighten another persons. Let it be kids running from a fire, or just coming up to them and being friendly. Lauren contemplated some more, taking just a small meal. She wasn't completely hungry, but she wasn't about ready to skip. She learned that skipping classes to go eat is not a good idea, though she'd never really been caught doing that. Another thanks to her friends that she knew what happened. But, then again, getting in trouble wasn't a real big deal. Especially with Ethan, he wasn't the harshest person.
She gave another glance at the girl, and smirked as she saw her playing with a yo-yo. Yes, the fantastic yo-yo was invented by some crazy dude that we all wish we knew the name of. Probably some freak kid like the rest of the people who attended the Academy. Most inventers were. Truthfully, most humans were idiots and couldn't make a complete sentence. That they could actually invent something was truly beyond her. The guy who invented the toilet, Werewolf, the stoplight by a demon just like herself, doll houses were obviously created by faeries, used to keep as houses. The only humans who held purpose were the few who came to the Academy. If they still exsisted, they'd be oracles. They're really entertaining.
Lauren felt a soft breeze from some kid who was slightly late for lunch. It brought her back to her normal self, and blinked her grey-green eyes slowly, and shook her head. She felt her hat shift on top of her head, though it didn't go to far. Her necklace shifted softly on her neck, giving her a tickling sensation. She smirked, her lips curving upwards elegantly. She waited at the end of the line with her tray. Her suddenly bright plan seemed to be usless at the moment. What would happen to her reputation if she sat with a Fae? That wouldn't be the greatest idea.
She contemplated for a bit more. If she made the prank big enough, it'd be over looked. Unfortunately, big pranks would reveal that she wasn't really what everybody thought she was. Another blow of cold air came through the door, and she was nearly ran into by the kid that came running through. She silently wished that he was soaking wet and would slip and fall on his run through the cafeteria. That would really make her day. She finally brought herself to walk over to the lone faerie, and sit down across from her. She recieved a few odd looks from some of the others, but she gave them a smirk that told all, and they looked away.
She turned her attention slightly towards the fae, picking lightly at her food. Lauren smiled faintly, and tucked her hair behind her ear. "Good day, Miss Fae," She said softly, giving her a small glance. The interest of what her exact plan hit her again. She could feel the looks on her back from her other dormies, but she ignored them. They'd find out eventually. She pondered wonderingly on what was a faerie's weakness. She suspected iron, that's what was rumored, but she didn't know where she could get a hold of such a metal. Maybe she could ask her dad. She smiled faintly to herself, and waited for the young faerie to respond.
